a trip to Hell
Over the summer a friend and I ventured to Ellicott City to visit the ruins of a Catholic School in Patapsco Valley State Park, known locally as "Hell House." Along the trail are several sets of stairs that were left after the school was torn down, now covered by graffiti and plant growth. The highlight of the trip was an altar at the end of the hiking trail that you have to see to believe.

This is one of my favorite photo projects I've ever done. I sought out to create a series of portraits of my best friend and college roommate that expressed the various facets of her personality. I shot in various locations and used different lighting situations to create portraits that were all distinguishable from each other, but still featured the same subject.
